LIT 1153 Greatest Books in Christian Literature(3)

This course covers Greek and Roman writers such as Homer, Virgil, Sophocles and Aeschylus as well as Christian roots in Jewish culture through the sacred poetry of Kings David and Solomon. Special emphasis is given to the first great epic of Western civilization, Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey and the heroes of Judism recorded in the Golden Legend.
